US Law Enforcement Have Started Windows 7 Tests

Microsoft clearly are trying to launch Windows 7 as soon as possible, even though many users are only just getting around to upgrading to Windows Vista. I wonder if Windows 7 will be one upgrade too many for some customers?

Regardless of this, Microsoft have already supplied a copy of Windows 7 to the Technical Committee of US Law Enforcement agencies testing according to a court ruling found by TechRadar, in an attempt to ensure the company’s compliance with US antitrust rulings:

“In addition, the (technical committee) has begun to review Windows 7 itself,” Microsoft and regulators said in the filing. “Microsoft recently supplied the TC with a build of Windows 7, and is discussing TC testing going forward. The TC will conduct middleware-related tests on future builds of Windows 7.”

Testing this early appears to show that Microsoft have more clearly defined plans for Windows 7 than many have been lead to believe.

Even when Windows 7 comces out I’ll not be so quick to jump into it.
When 7 hits the store shelves I’ll waite 7 see what the general popualc

Thinks of it before I get it.bout all you can do with Vista now is just surf the net with it nothing more.To me the best written OS out there now is XP Pro 32 bit.

XP does have a 64 bit but like Vista the XP 64 bit has some kinks in it.Am
experimenting if you will with Vista Hm.Prm.64Bit but you can only go just so
far with it.Think for PC games XP Pro 32bit works best. When it comes to computers I am not a pro but an intermediet if that.As techknowledgy goes on
computer commponets will get more comeplex.By the time Windows 7 comes out my system the one I have now will be most obsolete. The way computer techknowledgy is moveing up you’ed go broke trying to keep up.THe ones makeing all this possible should slow down i think their jumping way ahead of themselfves.Any way thought I’d put in my 2cents.

    Sincerely.

I can’t think of a single thing that I can’t do on my Vista machine that I could do on PC running XP.

In my experience, the people who claim that Vista sucks the most are the people who have never actually used it. Instead, they just heard it sucks from people who heard it sucks from Mac and Linux fans.

I’ve been running Vista for nearly 2 years (I got the Beta in June ‘06) and have been using it full time since June ‘07. I have had far fewer problems in Vista than I had in XP, especially after installing Vista SP1.

I have used Vista for quite some time as well. For one, the webcam that came integrated with my laptop does not work because Vista does not support it. No problem in XP.
Secondly, and most annoying of all, is when I try to play movies on it the video creeps to a halt and then about 5 to 10 seconds latter goes turbo mode to catch up to where it should be. I never ever had this problem with XP on my laptop. Video ran as smooth as a babies bottom.
There are a lot more things I find in Vista that I cant stand. For one, vista takes over your internet connections by trying to be easy and just makes a mess of things along with taking forever to connect to a wireless network.
The list can go on and on… The one thing I like better than XP and this is it…is Chess.
    Hands down…XP wins.
