Bill Gates reveals information about Windows 7

Bill Gates revealed some exciting new information about the upcoming next Microsoft operating system codenamed Windows 7. He spoke at the Windows Digital Lifestyle Consortium in Tokyo and had the following to say about Windows 7.

We’re hard at work, I would say, on the next version, which we call Windows 7. I’m very excited about the work being done there. The ability to be lower power, take less memory, be more efficient, and have lots more connections up to the mobile phone, so those scenarios connect up well to make it a great platform for the best gaming that can be done, to connect up to the thing being done out on the Internet, so that, for example, if you have two personal computers, that your files automatically are synchronized between them, and so you don’t have a lot of work to move that data back and forth.

Previous assumptions that Microsoft would indeed avoid a Vista 2 and make Windows 7 faster and resource friendly seem to come true. Connectivity seems to be another keyword that is taken seriously in Windows 7.

The whole transcript of the speech is available at the Microsoft Presspass website.

Not sure, it’s some kind of fanboy phenomenon. Go on a PS3 news blog and read the comments, Xbox 360 fanboys come in and do the same crap.

BEWARE! Do not make iContact with iCritters, such as the iSlaves mentioned in the previous post.  They may feel threatened and give you a really bad iByte, which puts you at risk of iRabies.  If you see an iSlave or any other iCritter that is spewing iFoam from its iMouth, do NOT approach iT.

Adore iCritters at your own iRisk!

Why do now trendy MAC users feel its necessary to post Off-topic “Mac” story in every windows related forum.
If you don’t like windows any more, that’s fine. Those of us who do don’t care about your “iCrap” experience.

I’ve been using Vista Home Premium 32 since a week after release. Please explain the problems that you are having, as I’ve not encountered a single issue. My machince has bluescreened once, while on xp it bs’d at least twice a month.

In response to the comment by JC, I believe that Microsoft should only release an operating System or Application when they have fixed all the bugs…. hence the name OPERATING system. You don’t expect and shouldn’t have to put up with BSOD and similar annoying set backs. If they ironed these out BEFORE the release, they wouldn’t get half the bad press they do!

I think Windows Vista needs more time. People are judging it befor they are lettin microsoft fix the bugs. It needs at least anover year befor the Development of a new system should be created. And also i think some of these videos are extreamly fake as i have seen a show on a new age house in the microsft facillity and they had something like what is being shown on the videos with the touch screen.
