Poll: When Will Windows 7 Launch?

mikeysoft will not squash vista because everybody say so, windows 7 will be a vista ultimate cleaned up, that's my opnion....

I'm hoping with somewhat new leadership coming in the next few years, we'll see some new innovations from Microsoft. They really screwed up Vista. It seems Microsoft felt pressured to release the next version that they cut off the good features and released it. It's my hope that Windows 7 will include the features Vista promised, and better resource managment--if not be a redesigned interface/work environment for Windows.

I'm not sure if it's going to be an updated Vista, but if it is, I would imagine it being released in the next two years. (Q4 '09)

Anyways, keep it real.

The sooner the better, as Vista isn't making the impact expected. The longer the release of Windows 7 takes, the more ground Microsoft is going to lose.

Here`s the Future.. Apple... To be honest use to be a huge microsoft fan but over the years microsoft has gotten real bad .Every thing microsoft releases is junk. For example vista - or zune they suck so bad . Apple iphone awesome pure awesome ness. Microsoft sucks same old operating system slow buggy boring looking its almost 2010 and are inner face is coded by perfessionals who code like there 5. you can hate what i say but its true ....i almost got an apple soon when apple supports more ill buy it..good buy microsoft u suck

Vista is a NEW operating system and for the most part works well.  Windows XP and that style of blockish unattractive, so Vista came gave us something pretty to look at and it was shot down.  There is only one problem with window Vista the users that are not willing to learn a NEW OS.  And about Apple, the computers cannot be personalized you can't even open the case to see if there is even a fan in the thing with out having the warranty voided.  The price has not gone down even due to the recession, the new CEO for the cooperation IS NOT business leader but a nice face with selling lines, Apple spends more on advertising than PC and Wii combined.

This OS is pronominal! We have installed it on a single core P4 at 2.1GHz and 1GB RAM memory. On board SIS video with 32MB shared memory. IDE Hard drive and DVDRW. We wanted to see how Seven would perform on the lower end units and I must say we were  pleasantly surprised!
As far as we are concerned the earlier Microsoft can get this product on the market the better.

I agree, i cant wait to get the update. As long as they finish it off this time.

U can make vista look exactly the same as 7 with a few clicks,just make the taskbar icons big on right click,and voila!,it's seven...why couldn't they at least redesign the interface?there is so many brilliant desktop designs out there,like for windowblinds for instance.Just put an option for different levels(like linux)for slower computers.
