Windows 7 M3 Screenshots Galore

You can be sure that screenshots will hit the Internet only a day or two after a release of a new Windows 7 build. It was the same this time as screenshots of new features and designs of Windows 7 were posted at the Think Next website. The screenshot of Windows Media Player light which appears when a user opens a video file could finally mean faster loading times for videos if the user is working with Windows Media Player.
You can also see new screenshots of the revamped Paint and Wordpad modules that we have been speaking about earlier. It seems that the Control Panel is also getting an overhaul. The screenshots show that the Display Properties panel will look totally different from what previous Windows operating systems offered.

(W.7) Who hoo! Same crap different toilet!
Maybe it’s called 7 cause it’ll take another 7 years to get it right.Â
This is the price MS is paying for a messed up business culture that rewarded keeping competitors out of the market rather than focusing on innovation.
Hint: Competitors keep you competitive, they can be good for you!
After all these years they have deadbeat OS and a lack luster GUI.
This is the last chance I believe they have to get it right. I really hope they do. I don’t know how much longer I can resist OS X.
I’m running out of Windows Hope.
Cmon Redmond!
I thought I was looking at screenshot of windows Vista. Hope they make the UI look better when the final version is released. And I hope that the Price tag won’t be as Ridiculous as windows vista’s was
Wow, are some of you serious ……..upgrade your computer every time Microsoft releases a new OS that’s insane, what a waste of money! This is why Microsoft can’t maintain brand loyalty. If some of you are right and Windows 7 is a tidy up rather than a full step up. It should support the same hardware and have no issues! This is the very reason I went to Apple! Talk about a false economy, changing video cards, upgrading ram then changing the motherboard, upping the power supply then changing the ram again, then the video card …. Forget it, getamac!
too bad if you break a mac you have to pay to ship it back to apple, pay to get it shipped back to you, and then hope that it works right when you get it back
i prefer being able to fix my own computer
and windows seven, if it lives up to its hype, should be pretty good.
Reply to, cool guy..
Regarding:
“too bad if you break a mac you have to pay to ship it back to apple, pay to get it shipped back to you, and then hope that it works right when you get it back”
While I, personally, tend to prefer the roll your own approach to personal computing which is to say that I don’t currently own a Mac, you don’t necessarily have to send your Mac back to Apple to have it repaired. There are numerous Apple authorized repair facilities across the country. Example, next door neighbor had his Mac go south on him, he took it to a local authorized Apple repair facility, supposedly they fixed the issue. Ends up his Ethernet didn’t work on the new board, he returned it and got a whole new motherboard. This was done locally, within driving distance of his house. All is well now and he’s fully up and running again. No extra cost with the exception of his time and gas to get there and back. But that would be the case whether it was a PC or a Mac.
An added point here is take a look at the reviews on newegg regarding Taiwanese or Chinese motherboard manufacturers, be it Asus-tek, Gigabyte, Abit or pick your own Asian manufacture. Note the reviews with issues that span the problem spectrum from hardware related, BIOS/driver issues, incompatibilities or even RAID issues – they are numerous! As we both know, the hardware drivers don’t always cooperate with each other for initial releases. Sometimes even longer! For those that truly like to ‘tinker,’ this will ALWAYS be a good alternative however, keep in mind that there are folks out there that have work to get done and would rather NOT have to take time to tinker or have a closet full of spares. Especially when they’re under a tight schedule and have work they MUST get done.
Another thing to note, the folks at Apple have been in the 64 bit OS world for the mainstream user for quite some time relative to the Vista crowd. Their software tends to be more refined and less problematic. Another plus is the lack of viruses, worms, Trojan horses etc. on the MACÂ side relative to the PC. However, this could also be said for the Linux crowd. Speaking of Linux, BSD is now incorporated with Apple’s OS.
The point here is to carefully evaluate all the positives vs. negatives for each OS/hardware platform before coming out with a blanket statement, it will serve you well in the long run.
Good luck and reliable computing!
Cheers!
I have a Mac and i had never been charged for shipment when i sent my macbook!
