Windows 7: Find and Organize Part 1 - The User Experience
Windows 7: Find and Organize Part 1 - The User Experience was one of the first Windows 7 videos of the PDC 08 conference that have been uploaded to Channel 9. The video shows David Washington and Paul Gusmorino demonstrate the changes and enhancements in Windows 7 in regard to finding and organizing files. They talk about Windows Explorer simplifications that should make the life of Windows 7 users easier, the new library feature which basically collects data from all places and not only from My Documents, My Pictures or My Videos like Windows Vista handled things.
Men thats very good!!1 =) performance its ultra fast compared to vista…
Hoping Windows 7 will be very fast
Yes, there is a big problem with search in Vista. For example, disable indexing (to save power & hard drive). Then open a cmd.exe. Use the command line to search for a file in your hard disk by its name (for ex : dir *namepart* /s). Do it twice for caching. For me it’s 20 seconds. Do the same thing with the advanced search by name in the explorer. 2 minutes.
And when I search for C code parts, it often fails like in XP (but it worked in W2K)
