Windows 7 Lite
Martin | Nov 14, 2008 | Comments 6
Windows Vista and Windows 7 are related products, some users would even go so far to describe Windows 7 as an update to Windows Vista. One aspect that could fuel these rumors is that it is possible to use the application Vlite on Windows 7. Vlite is a software program that can create a new Windows Vista installation DVD by removing parts that the user does not want to include in the operating system. The very same program recognizes Windows 7 as Windows Vista and is therefor compatible with it.
A video has been posted to Youtube that demonstrates the whole process. While it is possible to create a Windows 7 Lite installation with Vlite everyone should understand that Vlite has not been specifically designed to work with Windows 7. This could lead to errors or not-working installations if the wrong components are selected for removal.

windows seven lite really rocks.
The removal of security center and the gadgets makes a quiet and strong system that runs really fast and looks sexxy as hell!

Removal of gadgets and security center makes a nice and quiet system that dont mollest the user with all sorts of questions and advices !!
Well done studio48 great video and great topic starter !
I dont get it.. filling your HDD with crap.. gadgets\image viewer\movie maker etc does not make your coumputer any slower if you dont use them… Vlite is only usefull in you want to save HDD space or brake the OS
The system gets lite ,removal of security center and gadgets makes a quiet system that runs really good..besides i tested othis lite version on a pentium 3 with 1000mhz and only 375mb ram..and guess what?..It runs really nice ofcourse are glass and theme disabled and sustem is set to performance theme..so it looks like an upgraded windows 95 but with all the benefits of windows seven (without the goodlooking parts that hugs memory and internet connection)
Windows 7 lite really rocks and should be at least tried .Why wait so long there is already a LITE version of the Windows Seven build 6801 for you to Test

As with most of Martins postings, this is a real yawn-er.
