I'd like to know about the keys situation too, and can it be installed as an upgrade to the original beta or is it clean install only?
    Thanks.
  • Jim according to some sources the beta keys can be used. A clean install is recommended by Microsoft; you might want to read this article http://windows7news.com/2009/04/24/installing-w...

I have a question to all users here?

After Win7 is official released and I do not buy it, but keep using the last RC version by applying a hack that removes the expiration limit, is that stealing?

I honestly do not think it is stealing or an I wrong.

Augmenting the OS from its original state (no matter how minor) is definitely a violation of the EULA.

the analog clock is so 1964, programmer time well spent, by how much did that "feature" make this bohemoth leaner? an OS these days should fit on a floppy, let alone a CD, but now we need a DVD for it. List something I can do in Windows 7 that I can't do in XP please.

    DX11 DUMBASS

I use Windows for work not play so no wonder I never heard of DX11 as probably 90% of regular users don't know either. No reason for name calling, I still know more than you.

I couldn't care less if this is pirating or not. I'm running RC1 and I've pirated Office 2007 as well as Vista and Windows XP at different times in my life. I have also bought legit copies of each at different times of my life. (Except Office 07)
RC1 is like art. I'm running it off of an OCZ Vertex SSD and it's running faster than my XP Performance install.
Open up WMP and play Sleep Away with Bob Acry (It comes with Win 7) and prepare for tears.

I have been an MSDN subscriber for aboout 7 years now and working with MS tech for more than this, which basically means I know me stuff.... I waiting until this release for my home computer, I know I could easily get it from msdn in a couple of days but wanted to try, and WO HOOOOOOOO picked up ALL drivers and this was the x64!!! apart from usb wireless but thats to be expected, got it working though. WONDERFULL is the word, and why,,,,,,,,, cos now we don't expect the moon as we all did last time... the underlying problem with a long release schedule is that everyone thinks your recreating life, their life and they are always disappointed, this release shows off the technologies that vista HAS and brought in....
