Windows 7 RC Leaks

Both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the release candidate build of Windows 7 have been leaked to various P2P networks yesterday. Popular sites already show thousands of users who download the Windows 7 Release Candidate which is expected for a public release on May 5. The language of this leak seems to be English which stands in contrast to previous leaks which were only available in Chinese. The beta keys seem to work in the release candidate build as well. There are no additional information available at this point in time. Except an influx in (global) news posts about the new leaked build in the coming days.

  • Thanks for the info... will try the RC in 2-3 days...

Microsoft really got some security issues... they should work on it... by the way is there any possibility that Microsoft is leaking the builds for a purpose???
  • Raptordabest
Maybe, but I doubt that. I think they're giving their builds to corrupt tester who're leaking these builds...
  • I doubt about corrupt tester thing too... a tester can leak 2-3 versions but Win 7 got hell of the leaks....
  • Pottsy
The RC (7100) version is already available to Microsoft Gold customers via MSDN. There is not doubt in my mind that one of these users has downloaded it and is seeding the x86 and x64 versions on multiple P2P sites. Which now has thousands of seeders and leeches :)
  • I'm gonna try this! I skipped Vista ans want to see if I'll like Windows 7!
  • Go ahead... Win 7 is much better than Win Vista even though its still under development...

    Best Of Luck

    @ Mя Don't Give Up:

***Of course***, they leaked it. That way, they get the Biggest Bang For Their Buck: free advertising (a la this story and many others), free distribution (a mad downloading scramble on the torrent sites), free "many eyeballs make bugs transparent" (thanks, Bazarr!), only they get all of this with _0 responsibility_ if it hoses a system or two...

    What's not to love?

'Corrupt testers'? I seriously doubt it. Look at the history of the company, a "leak" at this point in the build process is their M.O.

    Just sayin'...

DOWNLOAD THE 64 BIT BY COPYING AND PASTING THIS INTO YOUR BROWSER
    [link removed]

THAT IS THE ONLY LEGIT ONE (THE FIRST LEAK) oF THE 64 bit the rest are flawed, fakes with added bits and viruses/trojans etc.. DO NOT RISK IT THE OTHERS! YOU WERE WARNED!!

...Yeah, your post makes YOU look like the one trying to pawn viruses off on people...

    @Greybeard

Unless you have something to back up your claim, all you are doing is stating an opinion. Don't declare something as fact unless you KNOW for sure and can prove it because there are a lot of people that read these posts and you don't wanna be the one single handedly responsible for filling people with crap, do you? I agree that I THINK Microsoft MAY be leaking them, but I don't assume I'm right...
