More On Windows 7 Builds 7231 (x86), 7232 (x64) Leaks
WZOR has leaked yet another set of builds, having acquired the x86 (no x64 version) of Windows 7 build 7231 and the x64 version (no x86 version) of Windows 7 Build 7232. Unfortunately, no image files were leaked, just VHDs (Virtual Hard Disk), so these leaks are slightly more difficult to install than a normal ISO. Nonetheless, both have been leaked and have spread to various P2P networks.
However, interestingly enough, it appears as though Windows 7 has acquired a new wallpaper, as shown below:

Windows 7 Build 7232 x64

WZOR has also listed the next build “6.1.7232.0.winmain.090613-0700″ as a possible RTM Escrow build; however, this is also liable to change as it is in no way confirmed.
Update:
There are rumors that SoLoR, a trusted uploader, has converted the VHD of 7232 to an ISO and reshared the new file.

If anyone ends up upgrading from 7229 x64, can you pls reply if it’s worth the upgrade.
Remember that the Windows 7 Development blog listed instabilities due to same system upgrades as one of the reasons for disabling the ability to upgrade.
Also, considering that now Windows 7 is in the RTM phase, only bug fixes can be expected by now; so unless you have a major problem, I would suggest sticking with your current build.

I’m sticking to my current build (RC). I don’t think it’s necessary IMHO to install any leaked builds between now and the the RTM.
And aren’t those leaked copies illegal?
It’s understandable if you want to wait for RTM; however, some people have an addiction to installing every leaked build. ;)
Also, some users face a problematic bug and they want to move onto a build in which the bug is resolved.
