Microsoft pulled the E version of Windows 7 at the end of last month and customers in Europe will now get the same version of Windows 7 as the rest of the world, but will be presented with a ballot screen to choose their default browser.
Microsoft will be honouring the lower price for Windows 7 for a few more days until September 1st, after which European users will have to pay a higher price for the upgrade or full version:
Customers can also wait for September 1st, 2009 when they will have a choice of an upgrade or full version of Windows 7 at separate pricing. So essentially if you’re in Europe, you will have the product and pricing options available on a worldwide basis as of September 1st through the Microsoft Store and our retail partners.
So, if you live in Europe and you haven’t made your Windows 7 pre-order yet, now is the time to do so.
