Microsoft’s first Windows 7 advertisement, Good News 1, has only been around for about two weeks and today the software giant has begun airing an array of new advertisements. Unlike Good News 1, they focus more on new Windows 7 features:

Personalization: Your PC, Your Style shows the customization aspect in Windows 7 and features like themes and desktop gadgets.

Make your PC yours customize the theme, colors, sounds, and more with Windows 7.

Aero Shake: Shake Away the Clutter speaks about ”Aero Shake” feature in Windows 7.

Navigate your desktop easily with Aero Shake in Windows 7 just give a window a little shake to instantly cut through the clutter.

Windows Media Center: TV Where and When You Want it shows off the Windows 7 Media Center.

Dont let TV schedules plan your life, record your favorite TV shows and even watch Internet TV with Windows Media Center in Windows 7.

Windows 7: Your PC, your life indirectly shows off Windows Media Player in Windows 7 and aero shake.

With Windows 7, your PC becomes your entertainment hub. And when its time to get some work done, new features help you cruise through your PC like a pro.

You’ve probably seen the first two commercials earlier in this post written by Everton Blair, which contained samples of potential Windows 7 advertisements. Furthermore, another commercial -- also included in the post - has been released for Windows Live Movie Maker but says “Windows 7″ in the end:

Windows Live Movie Maker: Share Videos. Share Your Life

Create and share movies from your photos and videos in minutes with Windows Live Movie Maker.

So now there are four new Windows 7 advertisements in addition to “Good News 1″. What do you think of the new advertisements and are they effective? Also, which one did you like the most and why?

For me the first ad "good news" was the best followed by the windows media center.
  • Great Ads.. Movie Maker ad is pretty good..

Not that it really matters, but some are going to find the videos with Aero Shake a bit misleading. The transitions in the videos, are not the same as we have it on Win 7. They minimize to the taskbar, not behind the window.

Yeh i thought that, i think if it minimized behind the window, it would look alot better :)
  • I also noticed the same. There are 2 of these commercials where the Aero shake shows as hiding the windows BEHIND the active window, while it actually transitions them to the taskbar. Would look neat if it did hid behind the active window

In the beta time I checked this website every day and it was a nice place to find usefull information about Windows 7.
Now the betas are gone, the rc's are finished and the coming out of W7 is a fact, I have to say the information is becoming less and less usefull.
So this is the day I will remove Windows7news.com from my favorites and say goodbye to the people working behind the screens. You defenately did a good job, but for me it is did and not do anymore,,,
  • sorry to see you go :-(

Don't forget to subscribe to www.windows8news.com for your rumour/build/screenshot fix!!

Nice to see mature Microsoft not bashing Apple.
  • adamtiley93
Great Ad's It's great that Microsoft aren't trying to bash Apple and that they create great orginal ads!

I like the first one about personalization and I like the second one about Aero Shake!
