Windows 7 Activation Hacks Created

Microsoft has wanted to stop software piracy since its early days. As their software got more sophisticated, so did their methods to separate legitimate from pirated copies of their software. Product keys, evaluation time periods, activation processes are all designed to make the product a genuine copy.

Two Windows Activation Technologies,  the Software Protection Platform (SSP) and the Software Licensing Client (SLC), manage and handle licensing and activation matters on the operating system to the core components or files which are required for its operation. When the programs are put in operation SLUI will start and the activation process is in play.

Now however, rumor has it that two hacker products, RemoveWAT and Chew-WGA, have created activation work arounds. The software doesn’t provide you with a product key or an activation number, rather it allows the users to keep using the OS indefinitely.

RemoveWAT, developed by Hazar and nononsence is a Windows 7 crack that completely removes Windows Activation Technologies from the system so that users can validate the illegal pirated copies of Windows 7 as genuine status (some reported as “Tampered Binary” in MGADiag due to patching), forever and permanently. RemoveWAT supports both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) and all editions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
RemoveWAT, which has been refreshed to RemoveWAT v1.9, also stops sppsvc service and patches DLL files such as slwga.dll, sppcomapi.dll and systemcpl.dll, where the last one removes the whole Windows activation section from the Control Panel’s System Properties. RemoveWAT also support silent install with /s switch, and can be integrated to Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 installation DVD.

Windows Activation Technologies are completely removed by the Windows 7 Crack RemoveWAT, allowing users to validate illegal copies of Windows.  The hack is permanent and RemoveWAT works with all versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.  Chew-WGA Windows 7 crack takes a slightly different approach by supressing Windows 7 components, allowing pirated copies of Windows 7 to be activated.

The hack process is based on recognizing what happens when the activation period is at an end. When the evaluation activation free period of 30 days as expired, a reminder screen notifies the user to activate Windows 7. The notifications may appear from balloon tip at notification system tray, or when launching  NotePad, WordPad, the Calculator, or even when launching the Control Panel. The hack bypasses the notification.

Hackers have came up with tools or utilities which deals with all “side-effects” that follow the after is disabled and removed, so that Windows OS will continue to operate as it should so there is no automatic log off or shutdown.

A Microsoft spokeman said they were aware of the technique, and were working to shore up the activation procedure. This work around may be something that will appear in an update soon, or a service pack.

  • Good, Microsoft deserves this, after screwing us on Vista, anyone remember windows 98 and 98se and especially windows ME, what a fiasco, Microsoft seems to be allowed to bully everybody into using its software and charging ridiculous prices for it and where is the government to stop them? This is such bullS&^t and I'm tired of the fleecing of corporate america by Microshaft.....
Windows 7 should be a free upgrade to ANY windows User for all the money M$ has screwed the public out of with horrible products especially Windows ME and Latest Vista What a freaking Joke.......

Like the author, I too have been in the computer industry only since the 90's though as I'm a bit younger being just 32. I am just an IT professional who is tired of seeing Microsoft get away with the same bull time and again and very sick of the public forgetting about it.. I will continue to post about this as I feel people deserve to know that this is not just something that has happened with Vista, it has been happening since windows came out pretty much, but mostly just with a few releases noteably ME and Vista...

i totally agree with the above, first bill gates steals the operating system from his room mate in collage secondly has ripped everyone off, i almost wanna believe that this is done on purpose so window lovers get excited about a new windows OS coming out. to be completely honest windows 2000 was Microsoft's best ever OS. ran flawlessly on any system.
If someone has paid for a copy of the following windows 98se,windows ME, windows vista then they should be intitled to a FREE copy of the newest of windows, these are the people who made bill gate the theif rich. I dont understand it, its OK if companys steal from us and when we steal from them we are criminals.

Interesting logic. So what exactly has Microsoft stolen from you? In fact - absolutely nothing. If you paid for a product and didn't like it, I think that means you simply didn't like it. Last I checked, that happens with commercial products every day. BTW, if the OS came preinstalled with a system purchase you barely even paid for it anyway. The only theft is the theft associated with people illegally activating a commercial prioduct that they did not purchase. In a more fair world, the legal system and courts would be in a position to deal with this theft in the same way as it handles any other type of property theft. Unfortunately, the legal system is a decade behind the curve when it comes to software. BTW, Windows 2000 was not even released to the masses so stating that it ran flawlessly on "all systems" is pretty silly (to put it mildly)....

So if you pay for something and the quality of the product is not up to par you don't feel cheated (like somebody stole from you)?

I'll bet you if you would buy a car and after 6 months something goes wrong or doesn't work anymore, you would be the first to go and nag to the seller.

These days all software companies (including Microsoft) bring software to the market that is not bugfree. Instead they rely on the consumer that paid for it nonetheless to help report the problems and help them fix it. In the mean time you are stuck with it. All testers of the beta deserve a free copy in my opionion (like they did with Vista). thanks to you they can get the bugs out.

Microsoft rather brings out a system prematurely and make money than do a more decent cleanup in house. If they played like that they couldn't come up with an operating system every 3 years of course.

I am not proclaiming piracy is good. My OS is legal and I use freeware when I can. I just want to say that there is more to the story. A good product deserves to be paid for.

Maybe Microsoft (and the other software companies) could lower the price a bit. Don't they make enough money? Make Windows 7 30 to 40 dollars (RTM price anyway) and people will not be so eager to get an illegal copy which can give them trouble. It would bring profit to Microsoft in the end in my opinion.

They release a product with promises of survivability (an OS that lasts more then 5 years is survivability), then said OS is fail out of the box in MOST cases (both ME and Vista fall into this category). Instead of willing to take a refund, or help you recover your system back to XP, 2000, or 98SE (Using MS's support, not some 3rd party) they just brush you off and release a New os to 'fix' the issues.

What about the data lost in this entire process, what about the down time of other things that you could/should be doing while you are fixing THEIR mistakes.

that is what MS has stolen. Time and Money.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here:
I think that it does not matter how much a company has "ripped" us off (remember, business is business), piracy is wrong, however you look at it. But, again, that's just me. Microsoft has ripped people off here and there, but pirating makes the situation WORSE, not better.
  • TRK
I got windows Vista ultimate for free by providing 1 feedback and then I got Windows 7 Ultimate free for the launch party, havent had to use a hack and crack in ages so I dont really know whats going on. 1 things for sure, not having to worry about any of it rocks :)
  • Chas
I can get windows 7 for 115.00 locally. If you can't afford that..
  • deABREU
dude, there has been activation hacks since *before* win7's street date, and that's hacks for RTM build I'm talking about.
  • Microsoft should consider removing the WGA as that is the only way they can retain some of their market share. WGA has made it impossible for pirated users to update windows spreading malicious code as their system is left vulnerable. Viruses, Malwares, Malacious Codes & all the mess that microsoft has made & simply is not capable of correcting has given it a real bad reputation with the intellect. I myself have a Legal copy of Win 7 on my new dell laptop but still i dont feel safe surfing the web on it. I prefer linux to surf the web. So Microsoft users have started migrating to other OS. Remove WGA to make system slightly less vulnerable (In windows they never will be FULLY) & protect ur share + please keep ur eyes open & make a better Secure OS. I have paid for Win 7 but i fell less secure in it. I got Ubuntu for free but i feel more secure in it. WHY?..Microsoft has to give answers...People are no longer dumb. They are now well exposed because of the net to know what is better & what is not...& please I am no Linux fanboy... I have worked on windows exclusively since 1999 & i am a paid customer of Microsoft...This is to Microsoft that I AM NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR PAID PRODUCT.
