my windows7's audio driver cannot be used!

i have installed windows7 build 6801.i feel nice.
my laotop is acer.i am using real hightek definition audion driver.but the audio inside windows7 cannot be used normally.be broken sound!who can offer me a better audio driver for windows7?

The driver support was updated in the latest build. I do not think that you will find drivers for your audio card or display at this time though.

I had the same problem on my Acer and on a Asus notebook.
The solution is very simple just download a old version driver...
in this case u need R 1.14 the file is hard to find but with google it will do otherwise send me a e-mail and I will provide U the link....
I found the R 1.14 driver at a Hungary site!.
All works 100% in my version Windows 7 build 6801.

U have a Intel cpu in your notebook??? in this case u might try to install the newest Intel.inf file because Your videochip might be Intel-based for example a 945 chipset otherwise when u have a Nvidea chip look for an old driver for NT 4 (or 5) or an old driver for Vista Beta...
Here all works fine, sound and video on Asus and Acer.

i have an asus p5pl2-e motherboard on my pc, and a realtek high definition audio driver, but it just won't work. i tried installing the r 1.14 driver, and that didn;t help either. could someone please help me?

Hi,  I'm also having real trouble getting any audio from Windows 7.  I had similar problems with Vista Ultimate but, after a while, managed to rectify that.  Although I still could only receive audio from 1 output, but hey, it was good enough for what I needed. 
However, with W7, I'm really really struggling!  I've uninstalled the MS audio drivers and tried all the drivers I'd downloaded originally for Vista 64bit, along with the drivers linked above.  And tried all combination of compliancy settings.  All that happens is that I am directed to restart the PC once they're installed, which I do, only for the MS drivers to be installed automatically on start up.  The speaker icon tells me I have audio  ("Digital Output Device (SPDIF): 100%")  but no matter what I do I am unable to hear anything - any further suggestions??
I remember that with XP it's automatically pick up speakers when they were plugged in, unlike Vista, but W7 just installs the driver whether speakers are connected or not.
XP just seems so dated now and I'd rather not go back to it, and when I installed W7 it screwed up my Vista installation.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

on my laptop I have another problem with Windows 7, the sound is distortioned, it sounds very loud and I fix the problem by making changes in Control Panel > Hardware & Sounds > Sound > choose the first sound driver(default) double click and on Advanced Tab > Default Format change the default 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) with (24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)!
