Windows 7 Home PremiumWindows 7 Home Premium is one of the two Windows 7 editions that will be sold worldwide to retail markets and OEMs. The other edition of Windows 7 is Windows 7 Professional. Microsoft has build the editions to include features that “smaller” editions do not contain. This is in contrast to Windows Vista where more expensive editions missed some of the features of less expensive ones.

Windows 7 Home Premium makes it easy to create a home network and share all of your favorite photos, videos, and music. You can even watch, pause, rewind, and record TV. Get the best entertainment experience with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Windows 7 Home Premium is a complete edition of Windows 7 unlike Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Starter which have been limited by Microsoft. Here are the features that Windows 7 Home Premium will ship with that are not – or only partially available – in Windows 7 Home Basic and Starter.

I am using build 7100 of Windows 7 (Ultimate) 64 bit. I decided to use via the M/S Download Windows Live Mail as a Email program. However while the program works OK, each time I click ,( Usually the Icon I put in the Task Bar) the screen goes dark and up comes UAC asking for permission. I have gone thru settings for default program and Live Mail is set as a default , but somehow UAC doesnt know. Interesting also is I am also using Windows Live Photo Gallery and that doesnt bother UAC at all. Does anyone have ideas or is it a bug in Win 7 RC edition.

I successfully installed Windows 7 from Vista Home Premium on my desktop. HOWEVER, my printer does not work when I go to print something. Do I need to do something additional to engage my printer?

I just got a new Dell xps 16 with Windows 7 home premium pre-installed. My roommate has a dell laptop with XP installed on it.
We have a modem connected to a router. I am able to connect to the internet but after an hour or two, it suddenly goes off. It just shows no internet access.
The connection still shows packets being sent & received but no connectivity.
Restarting the modem gets back the connectivity but it goes off again after sometime. Please help!!!!

Have been using windows 7 for about a month on a new laptop that came installed with home premium.
Getting used to operation of the OS and find it works well.
A few disapointments I have found though.
I'm getting used to the pin to the taskbar feature, as I used the quicktaskbar quite a bit with XP and initially didn't like the pin to taskbar , but it just needs time to get used to.
One complaint I have about it though is pinning websites to the bar have to be added to a list under IE icon, and then have to right click and bring up a list of the pinned websites. Also unless the website has an icon attached you can't add an icon, so everything just has IE icon. (yuk)
Also I love the seethru taskbar with the desktop behind, but unlike Vista, it stays there instead of going solid when you open a web page etc, and just looks ugly. I think anyway. Not a lot of disappointments, but maybe changes will come to improve in the future.

I have windows 7 home premium and it freezes up five to six times a day, very aggravating. On a new HP tough PC.
