I have been testing Windows 7 since the Beta version was released early this year and I am sold on Windows 7. I have used both XP and Vista and like most I had the usual problems with Vista.
Windows 7 has not given me any problems with the exception of some older APPS THAT DOES NOT SUPPORT Windows 7. With your systems Windows 7 will run great.
  • Yes... Windows 7 is the future, I have 2 gb it works great and I am going to upgrade to 4.

But, wait a few months more it curently has some BSOD problems...

I am not at all a fan of the new UI, and the start menu looks terrible! To me it just looks like a very average UI mod for Windows Vista. Unless they offer a rollback theme to Vista, I don't think I will upgrade.

Wow, you won't upgrade to an obviously better OS because of a start menu?!?! And why wouldn't they have others themes. Vista offered a classic start menu and other desktop themes as well.

    nice one

yeah, Taskbar is a complete copy of linux KDE. Start menu doesn't look great. Expecting a big number of bug fixes from vista. Else no one will upgrage (from XP)

Says you. I plan to upgrade for a wide variety of reasons. I think your opinion is in the minority here. MS has finally done something right, and I'm glad to see it.

  • Thanks for the screenshots! Looks really good.  I will have to get a copy installed my self and post some more screenshots on my blog.

Strange how the taskbar looks like KDE ... looks microsoft is just doing their usual thing - stealing other peoples ideas.
