Wow, you all are right in your own ways.. I have dealt with all types of OS’s.. And of course free is always better… but you do need Microsoft(Internet explorer to play games and alot of websites optimize to Internet explorer to build ..I love firefox though. Microsoft got a grip on the internet early and you cannot blame them for trying to capitalize.. I love Linux!!! But Linux has stayed out of the mainstream for way too long. So it was easy for Microsoft. And as far as I am concerned xp is better than vista. It just takes less resources and you can do so much more with it.(like run another user in another users account)… One example.. Anyway I am not saying anyone else is wrong. And I am not throwing out there that I am some great technician from the sky. This is my passion( Just ask my girlfriend.) And I will come back and post my feelings on W7. Remember windows 98 is still the most used OS system of the windows family out there.

  • [...] 7. Windows 7 is simply the 7th version. Here is a screenshot of Windows 7. For more images: http://windows7news.com/windows-7-screenshots/ Looking through these images, one might argue that it looks just like Vista. Well, it is very [...]

LOoking at W7 Screenies, it DOES look like vista but worse! I dont know about anyone else but this looks like ass. I hate how the start button is in a block and the E is in a block sort of thing down the bottom….that just looks crap. The recycle bin icon is the same as vista and the start menu how i has the live search etc looks like vista also.

As far as im concerned, XP and vista are the sure winners for AT LEAST the nest 2-4 years, W7 doesnt look all that great.

  • jimbob says:

as always MS is so /&%* proud of its forthcoming win version, saying it’s the ultimate best os never released. They said just the same when releasing xp and vista, which are both crap, remember? Sorry MS, but the fact is there’s not been real useful enhancements since win2k, except win always grow heavier and eats more and more cpu & ram.
Now buy a mac or switch to ubuntu linux.

  • JMD says:

Yea Jimbob that makes sense since Windows 7 has the most lightweight core kernel of ‘em all… :-/
